Doctor of Audiology

Brittany Mathisen was awarded both her Doctor of Audiology degree and her Bachelor degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. Dr. Mathisen is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds the Certificate in Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Mathisen enjoys working with patients and takes pride in helping Interior Alaska access the necessary tools that are needed to communicate successfully. Her prior experience has been in a successful private practice office, which is evident in her approach to patient-centered care. In her spare time she enjoys spend time with her husband and sons camping and enjoying the outdoors.

Lily Hughes was awarded her Doctor of Audiology Degree in 2011 from West Virginia University. She also holds dual Bachelor of Science Degrees in Pre-Medical & Psychology from the University of Vermont. Dr. Hughes is Board-Certified in Audiology, is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, holds the Certificate in Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is a professional member of the Hearing Loss Association of America. Dr. Hughes specializes in diagnosing, evaluating and treating hearing disorders, as well as balance and dizziness, for both adults and children. Her goal is to help patients make educated decisions about their hearing and balance health so that they may return to the activities that they enjoy. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and adventuring all over Alaska with her dog, Lucy, as well as traveling internationally. You'll never catch Dr. Hughes without maple syrup from her home State of Vermont!
